Prompt: What really happened to the characters from the story Red Riding Hood when Little Red was going to visit? Using YOUR imagination pretend you are Little Red, Wolf, Lumberjack, or the grandma and write from their side of the story. If you want to get SUPER CREATIVE create a NEW character that Little Red met on her way to visit grandma. Make sure to include the beginning, middle, and end. I am looking for you to use your BIG imagination. Most importantly, have fun creating your very own Red Riding Hood story.
Be Sure to Include:
Beginning Middle and End
Choose one character as the narrator since you’re telling it from their side of the story (Little Red, Wolf, Lumberjack, Grandma, Create your own)
Details and lots of descriptive words
Transition Words (therefore, however, also)
Dialogue between the characters
Conclusion
My Reflection:
After creating a voice thread I think it could be very useful in my future classroom. The voice thread was also fairly easy to use and easy to upload. Using a voice thread I could take any book and using a voice thread I could upload it to our class website, and for homework they could go home and read with me. Most fourth graders would know how to read, but I am wanting to teach K-2 so some of my little ones may not know some words, so if they have the book and voice thread they can follow along as I read the book to them. Also, this is great for differentiation instruction. I could use this for students who struggle with reading, students who can't see, and auditory learners. For students who are out sick, I could upload notes or I could pull them up on the webcam and they could be apart of the class so even though they are not there, they can still keep up. I could incorporate voice threads into several lesson plans and students could also create their own voice threads for certain projects. I think this is awesome, and I had a lot of fun making it and this is another way to integrate technology in my future classroom.
